The American Cowboy

We are Cowboys at heart: from East to West, North to South: Cowboys, strong willed, resourceful. Americans are a fair, honest and moral people who genuinly want to do the right thing even in the face of severe opposition. That courageous and independent spirit that led our forefathers to leave home and hearth, kith and kin, for America lives on. America provided a chance to leave the past behind and become whatever hard work and a fair amount of luck would allow a person to become. What a wonderful place America is. What a wonderful people the Americans are.

For all those that complain about the US - it seems that we still are one of the nations that foreigners flock to. Why? Because of that cowboy spirit. You can become anything here, make anything happen depending on what your dreams are.

This is a place where change occurs so rapidly that it drives new markets, innovations, ideas and improvements. I personally feel that the new paradigm for the US is to open this out to the world as a whole. To not inject it in the global economy but to get others to collaborate despite differences. You see this happening in many countries right now with immense success. It would be nice to open it to all countries. Like cowboys- you sometimes work with the fueding indians to get things done.

I really like the Tibetan stance: "With both arms around you, your enemy cannot point a gun at you."

I prefer "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" and "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

True, American is the place where anything can happen and if we can keep the government from strangling the golden goose, keep them out of the way and out our pocket, things will be fine.

B says that although they might not be able to point a gun at you it would facilitate them stabbing you in the back.

As I heard one so called reporter say (and I have to agree) "Huckabee is just a little too Arkansas" Which means so much more to me now that I live in a bordering state. As for the fair tax - PASS IT!!!
